Quick update - new poll is up (bigger update, later on).

New update this online.

This update brings the following two new "features".

1. I call this feature a "random deal" - it's basically a place on the main page in the side bar, where the random deal is displayed.

If user is not logged-in only the deals for buying the game are display and if the user is logged-in, only the expansion (ACP) deals are displayed to him.

I know that probably most of the SGRStats.com visitors already own the game, but I still think it makes some sense to display a game deal to guests, because who know, maybe they don't own the game yet.

Also, I could make it a lot more personalized if I could fetch which ACPs each player owns - then I could use this information and display only those deals which does not already owns (of course, this is only applicable to registered users with a linked account).

2. Jaffa Sobek image - if player's top class is Jaffa, thanks to TheMadDoctor, Jaffa sobek image is displayed.



Nothing major, but I plan to implement monthly global stats reports soon.

No problem.

Any suggestion how could I make it look even better, since it is currently covering up some text (it's only problem with this character, but with some others as well).

If it put the text above the image it looks even worse in my opinion...

can you put it on the right side of the text?

Any idea on why old stats are being pulled yet?

Has the database address changed or something.

it's weird that the server list is updating but the stats aren't. hasn't changed since the move. at least this time i know the stats are being recorded. the game finally seems to be recording accurately, it's just not passing data to sgrstats.
and am i blind or is there really no way to see total xp in the game client? i wanted to see exactly when i made tek'renek, but there just doesn't seem to be any xp tally in game.
btw i still would like to see extra digits on the kdr. its the one advantage the in game stats have over sgrstats.

This update finally brings much better display of the comments (thanks to Pink).



Also, the K/D ratio now shows three digits after the decimal instead of two.

There is also a special "addon" for users like blevok who like accuracy (yes, small things matter )!

P.S. #2 Can anyone else confirm that the website displays obsolete stats?

And afaik you can't see your total XP in the game (I'm not 100% sure though).

Edited: Never mind about thats obsolete stats issue - I found the problem and contacted the dev team

wow, 12 digits! i'm pretty much obsessed with seeing positive change after every match, now i can see it change after every kill. whether it was a sarcastic addition or not, i do like it, and i think the site is great. it really does make the game more fun for me... and more addictive.
and the page about fixed point vs floating point data was a very interesting read. it shall be noted in my log that you have done your homework.

Decimal / floating point numbers look really simple and straight-forward, but in reality if you want accuracy, you must be careful and know what you are doing

That's why when I am going for accuracy I always go with int or long.
But it's a hustle to make everything you need work with them.

-You seem to have found the problem with the not moving stats, but the dynamic signature is still frozen
-I just noticed the rank display isn't accurate vs the achievement (and some typo in first lieutenant) while you go over it to see the exp needed

1. Typo has been fixed, new version will be deployed later on
2. Signature generation now works again (some stuff was broken since the FireSky moved servers - you were the first one who has noticed it)

Player rankings, sortables and more!

If you are regular visitor of this website you have probably already noticed that about an hour ago, pretty big updated was pushed online.

Version 2.3.0 brings many new and cool stuff.

One of those useful "must-have" things are sortable tables.

Sortable tables are used on the server list, player achievements list and player rankings page (more about player rankings later on).

With sortable tables you can easily (for example) sort your achievements by the date you have completed them or by the achievement title.

Another long awaited feature which is now partialy available are player rankings.

Yes, now you can finally see who is the best SGR player (it appears that the honur currently goes to the Banana Squad member Black)!

Because player rankings are still in very early stage and under heavy development, you can expect many improvements and additions in the following weeks.

If you are having problems viewing the page (stuff is aligned strangely or some images are missing), you need to clear your browser's cache for this website (you can do a "full reload" using the Ctrl + F5 shortcut in Firefox and Ctrl + R in Google Chrome or other flavours of Chromium).

And as always, you can help make this website better by posting your comments, bug reports and ideas on Stargate Worlds forum or this news comments.

i can't believe i'm ranked that high... . top 10 for all stats. (i'm number one in deaths. yay?!?)

side note, the "Time Played" isn't >sorting< correctly (Oh. Well I feel sheepish. All right, you baaaaaad boy. But no more freebies)

Oh what not "reporting correctly" you mean sorting correctly?

actually i did notice, i just didn't say anything because i didn't want to seem too complainey. i figured you'd get to it eventually.
and i really like the leaderboard thing. i was going to ask about it a while back, but i figured there was a good reason you removed the link. maybe another thing with firesky not wanting us to know how many players there are or something. but i'm glad its back. one suggestion though, row numbers, so we can see exactly where we are and how we progress without counting rows.

Wow the player rankings are really cool!

Interesting some ppl have more xp with half the played time. Hopefully now i've stopped switching classes during a game i'll get proper xp

only thing it could use are numbers so you can see what number you are without having to count down.

I think this is only the amount of players who have linked their accounts to SGRStats. So there's probably many more still.

well.... my reign as most-killed man in SGR has been ended... *sigh* Murphyslaw apparently linked his account to the site today, made me lose a place in all the categories. harrumph. however, i am still apparently in the top 10, so that makes up for it. makes me happy!!!! but... bow before the mighty 'Nana Black!
