everyone could start bombarding mgm
and cme with mail, email and phone calls showing our support and desire
for sgr and other stargate products. this is a familiar practice for
star trek fans, i still have paramount and cedar fair in my speed dial.
MGM 10250 Constellation Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90067 310-449-3000 comments@mgm.com Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment 4140 E. Baseline Road Suite # 208 Mesa, Arizona 85206 480-656-6500 480-629-8967 community@cheyenneme.com the mgm info is definitely correct but i'm not so sure about some of the cme info, it's kinda hard to figure out where cme ends and firesky begins, and sending anything to firesky would be pointless. i do have two more addresses, one of which i believe to be the server location, but posting that info would likely result in this post getting deleted. i couldn't find any direct contact info for gary whiting, i really didn't look too hard, but i'm sure it's out there. gw (personally) and mgm are where any contact should be directed. i would assume that he does want to do something with the assets since he fought to get it back, and he might be more inclined to try if he knew people would give him money. i know i would buy sgr again from him if necessary. and before anyone throws a rope over a tree and tries to find my address, consider this. perhaps you consider him evil and don't want to give him money, but really we give thousands to evil companies every year. comcast is evil, verizon is evil, directv is evil to a lesser extent, etc, etc. they don't care at all about individual customers, they'll tell their employees to hang up on you if you ask for any leeway, they'll take your last dollar and charge an extra fee for the privilege. if i wanted to give my money to companies that care, i'd have cricket, t-mobile, dish, etc, but i want the best, so i go with the worst, so to speak. they've got what we need, just like gw now has what we need. the question is, can we get him to give it (sell it) to us? anyways, desperate times call for desperate measures, so have at it... __________________

as above, keeping this going cost
millions. Even if all of us put in $10,000 we still would be some way
short of buying the licence.

Let's try to make a petition to
save it, we have to be as many as possible to sign it, is anybody of
you knows how to create that ? at least we can try and see what's going
on, that's the minimum we could try to do !!!

We were a lot more ppl to save
Tabula Rasa when Richard Garriot and NCSoft decided to let it die ...
Its still dead. And sorry, but in my eyes TR has been the better game.

MGM Worldwide Television
Distribution
2500 Broadway Street, Santa Monica, CA 90404-3065 If memory serves, this is the address SG-1 fans targeted to try and save SG-1 after it’s cancellation. The primary corporate officer we need to reach out to is Charles Cohen, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Cohen is a well known Stargate fan, credited for the franchise’s success, and he even put in a cameo role in Stargate Atlantis. Remember the silent, smiling gentleman at the poker table in ‘Vegas’? That was him! If anyone is going to pay any attention to our pleas, it will be Mr. Cohen. After extensive searching, I could not find a site specifically for MGM Interactive, nor could I find any mentions of it on MGM’s main site or any names specifically associated with it. Not to be deterred, I went back to Gateworld.net’s first reports about CME and Stargate Words and found one name that we must target: Travis Rutherford, Executive Vice President of MGM Interactive Secondary Targets are: Steven Hendry, Senior Executive Vice President, Finance Bedi A. Singh, President, Finance and Administration & Chief Financial Officer Stephen F. Cooper, Vice Chairman Harry E. Sloan, Chairman Mary Parent, Chairperson for Worldwide Motion Picture Group Since there is no guarantee that we can reach the people we are after at 2500 Broadway Street, this is a viable second and third addresses at which they could be found: MGM Studios Corporation Purchasing 240 Broadway Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401 MGM 10250 Constellation Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90067 Snail Mail will have the most impact, but you can also write to this email: comments@mgm.com When we write, we need to explain our position while making it clear that we understand their position. This is the best way to get them to listen – by showing them that we are well informed. If you are having trouble figuring out what to write, you can take our version, or modify it. Just remember to keep it professional. Earning respect could go a long way. Dear ___________________, I am a fan of the Stargate franchise and customer of Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment’s game, Stargate Resistance. I recently learned of the plan to shut down the game on January 15th, 2011, due to lack of a Licensing Agreement between MGM and CME. Stargate fans have been waiting a long time for a video game to come out. I am aware that Resistance was primarily created in an attempt to gain the funds needed to complete the production of Stargate Worlds. I am also painfully aware that without Stargate Resistance Stargate Worlds may never be completed, and the franchise may forever be without a video game. Resistance may not have lived up to expectations with regard to consumer demand, but this is due to a lack of advertising, not a lack of quality. I respectfully ask that you give Stargate Resistance more time to prove its worth. The developers deserve the chance to finish their work, and the fans deserve the chance to play the game we have waited so long for. We see the value of the game and many have expressed a willingness to pay more money to keep playing the game in the future. At the very least, allow the servers to remain operational and sales continue while MGM is in the midst of its financial negotiations. Once past that challenge, everyone may again see that having any Stargate video game is better than having none at all. Thank you, Sincerely, ____________________ If you are living outside the US and it is inconvenient to send a letter, I would like to volunteer my services to send letters for you! Just email me at playitgrand@spacegypsies.com with your letter, or even just your name to put on our version, and I will take care of the rest! |

We need to tell MGM that they did a lousey job capitalizing on SGR, and there are tons of fans out there who would have loved the game if they had known about it. So sign the petition, write some letters and some emails, and pass the word out to every Stargate fan you can find! You could still get the chance to buy and play the game if we can show MGM that it's worth it! |

Hey guys, we all need to hop on
Gateworld.net asap. The comments about the game after they reported on
it's downfall are terrible. Most appear to have been made by people who
spent little or not time actually playing the game. MGM pays attention
to GW, and all this negative feedback is BAD for our hopes that MGM
will renew the license. We all need to get over there and start
explaining that we love the game and we don't want to see it go!
Here's the link! Log in and comment please! http://www.gateworld.net/news/2010/1...#comment-14545 |
