i did nothing, just left him alone
the rest of the weekend. i felt really bad about it, but it was just
because i got carried away talking about something i love, stargate.
RDA (jack) got freaked out at a macgyver convention by some ######## fans, and stopped appearing at conventions for a very long time. he just started going to conventions again a couple years ago. everyone was very excited of course, but at the same time, people were like "don't spook him, we want him back here next year". __________________

imagine if sgr also had gameplay like fighting games(street fighter, final fight). you could punch, kick, roll, block, stomp, etc... if for example, you punch 3 times in rapid succession, you do a special sequence of punches that are not all the same and look super cool. maybe 3 kicks gets you a roundhouse??? __________________

I would only do this if there was
actual reason, like begging them to do the voice acting for SGR.
Other that that it's kind of breaking into their privacy, I don't think they'll appreciate it if suddenly hundreds of people start spamming their twitter accounts about SGR. |

Also, they are actors, their privacy level isn't the same as ours, and if you don't believe that, then you need to read up a bit on the live of actors, or perhaps watch "ET." We aren't asking them to wear underwear with our faces on it, we are asking them to do something that directly relates to their job, a Stargate promotion, for a game that they probably don't even know exists. And as they are actors, it is completely professional to ask them to promote something as they are asked to do these sorts of things in all kinds of avenues. Whether it be a female for an ad with Garnier or a male for an ad with Gillette (the best a man can get!). Finally, you will find, that, when I post an idea on the forum it is well thought out and I am very good at arguing a point. |

Then you just tape them together, and if you want the board, thats like 10 bucks or so, so total you spent $50 on something that will make the game that much if it entices 3 people. 3 out of thousands. Very feasible. If you have any stargate posters you could throw them up for now too! |

You guys are coming up with great
ideas to promote SGR. I would love to see more players and the
popularity of the game grow. I will do what I can to try and promote
the game.

-George Clooney and his Douwe Egberts coffee. -Mr. T from the A-team, selling products on TellSell and the famous World of Warcraft commercials, 'Whats your game?!' -Matthew Fox, the guy from LOST was in a commercial about clear skin few days ago. -Ozzy Osbourne also in a WoW commercial. -Andie Macdowell also in several commercials about clear skin and shiny hair. -Adriana Lima and here lipstick and eyelash commercials. (YES I LOOKED IT ALL UP!) I did not read your block of text, but if your trying to convince me that spamming about this game at famous people is a GOOD thing. Then I think you completely disrespecting peoples privacy. Ask them first if they want it, if they ask you to stop, then stop it also. Last edited by SparticusX : 06-30-2010 at 10:30 AM. |

However I did read your block of text. While you may disagree on the ethics, it is a smart move. I will quote the part of my response for you so you can better understand. "Also, they are actors, their privacy level isn't the same as ours, and if you don't believe that, then you need to read up a bit on the live of actors, or perhaps watch "ET." We aren't asking them to wear underwear with our faces on it, we are asking them to do something that directly relates to their job, a Stargate promotion, for a game that they probably don't even know exists. Whether it be a female for an ad with Garnier or a male for an ad with Gillette (the best a man can get!)." The selling rate for this game is going down the drain it needs all the help it can get. |

haha, I think I threw the underwear
thing out as a joke, i don't know if it got rethrown out there lol.
But hey, maybe if there are some of us interested, we could all pitch in and send you money, which you buy the stickers with and then send us back however many we paid for! That way more people can get it, and you don't have to foot all the cost! @Spaticus. If you don't like spamming twitter, than find another way! Be creative instead of complain. |

@zainea13
Am I the one being rude here? 'Polite' it's called. Don't let me tell you another story about respect. Were drifting off topic here, like I said ask them 'Politely' if they want us to do that or not. Seems reasonable. I'm not the one complaining, I just said what I think and you start yelling at me. Last edited by SparticusX : 06-30-2010 at 10:51 AM. |

I think you are misconstruing my words, at no point was I yelling. Perhaps complaining wasn't the best way to describe your actions. Maybe "putting up and unnecessary front, where it was not wanted" would be better. And once again you apparently didn't read my "block of text" because in the first line I believe I say and I quote "friendly and loveable spam" not "harrass them like there is no tomorrow" ... So I once again think you have missed the point because you cannot finish reading a statement which causes you to infer the wrong thing. Finally, actors privacy is not the same as our privacy. Trust me it is different, I very well may have had more acting experience than most people at these forums. And in my threads there is no such thing as off topic! lol |

I am arguing my point, but now I
can tell, in a feeble attempt to win the argument you have stated the
argument to be pointless. Very well then, good day. Please do not come
back to this thread if you do not have anything to say about promoting
SGR.
