Didn't seem that harsh to me. Kinda
blunt. Perhaps he doesn't think he should put his official support
behind it?
I don't know, It would only take him about 12 seconds to type up a quick tweet or facebook status for sgr, I doubt its time. Or maybe he doesn't like the game, so doesn't think he could honestly support it, but doesn't want to talk down about it either? __________________

That wasn't that harsh. He at least
wished you good luck. I wonder if the actors would get mad if every one
of us sent them an email about the game. Or if they would check it out
because of all the emails?

I would suggest you all consider
what it would feel like if you were in their position before you move
forward and contacted them. Most people don't enjoy having a sales
pitch put to them, so while you're all doing a phenominal job and I'm
amazed you all are doing this for the game, simply consider when you
tweet them or whatever method you use how you would like to be
approached by someone about something and go from that perspective.
You'll feel natural about it, and sound natural.
Keep up the good work, guys. Currently the worst that can happen is more people know SGR exists |

While it is different trying to get someone to promote a product rather than buy one the underlying principle is the same, be sympathetic and don't take the first no so seriously, most of the time people are interested, they just don't wanna throw out money the first chance they get. Notice, I did say be sympathetic, which is what you were saying. But, I don't think that anyone has been out of line once with any kind of tweet/statement they have made. |

You're doing great, zainea. I'm
sorry if I came off as criticizing, that wasn't my intention in the
slightest. You caught the gist of what I intended though in being
sympathetic and you seem to have a bit of experience in things like
this?
I'm not a dev for the company anymore, but I still want things go well for my friends and former colleagues, so if nothing else, all I meant was to remind anyone who might be helping you to proceed in good humor about it all just in case It's also a tad strange being a former dev here... it's kind of like being undead, between being a player and developer. You wanna continue checking with the game you helped create but are stuck in a communication purgatory Keep up the good work. I can tell you it makes me feel gratitude to see you doing this. I know it benefits you in acquiring more cannon fodder, but still, thanks ^^ It means quite a bit to everyone there I'm sure. I had to take a break from it for a while to finish another project, but I'll hint that I'm working on a little something for you guys. |

Glad to hear it glad to hear it. And no problem with the criticizing thing, I come off stronger than I mean sometimes. Yes, some experience, I had a sales job, after about 2 months, I said "This isn't that great" and quit, lol, so that's that, but I did well while I was working! And dev or not! You cool! |

I just wrote a email to
Gateworld.net to have them include the community driven support for new
players via our twitter campaign. Hopefully they will publish the story
on there site and generate more traffic.

Yeah in my Email.. I one mentioned
that SGU actors were supporting us by retweeting our message. This to
me seems newsworthy enough for them but we shall see.

I try to get a good 30 minutes of
Twitter promoting in each day. We have see a lot of new players
recently.. I would like to think it is because of our Twitter campaign.
I would be interested in finding out what the change has been. a graph
with timeline showing if and how successful the game is being promoted.

Twittering people in the stargate
community really does help.. here is a replay I got on Twitter.
TheDeadPhoenix @Techie94 Have you tried the Stargate: Resistance Game .. It's a Third person shooter put out by Dark Comet games. only 20.00 on Steam. Techie94 @TheDeadPhoenix I thought about it, but third person view is really not my thing :s @Techie94 wasn't my thing either but the content more then made up for it.. Plus the community is great.. We even play with the dev team. Techie94 @TheDeadPhoenix guess ill try it __________________
