Hey, an easy thing we can do, is
rate the game here:
http://www.metacritic.com/games/plat...gateresistance the critic reviews are WAY too low (an 18/100????) So we can make that a higher score easily! __________________
I know its confusing, but... I'm an officer in [SL] (due to the RP there), but my SGR clan is 5th... if that makes any sense... |

Unfortunately it says that user
reviews aren't calculated in the metascore, although seeing such a vast
difference in user reviews compared to critics does help I'm sure. I
know I personally haven't listened to a critic in years. ...well,
except Yahtzee Croshaw, but even then I'd still buy most of the games
he reviews ^^ A friend of mine actually has it reversed, that the lower
a critic score is within reason, the better the game is.

Perhaps a couple months down the
line it mite be a good idea for DCG to say to PC Gamer "Look its been a
while we have met deadlines and improved out game. Would you like to
come back and see the changes?"
Its pretty much asking for a re review. __________________

greetings. i still have not
constructed my mobile sgr billboard, but i do have something cool going
on this weekend, and i plan to hand out some sgr flyers.
my production company is providing lighting for a night paintball war on an old military base. but what caught my eye is that they also do airsoft games. if you're not familiar with airsoft guns, they're basically replicas of real guns that fire 6mm bb's or paintballs. in fact, all the weapons used in filming stargate are airsoft guns. in airsoft and paintball games, people get all decked out in military gear and play out war scenarios in forested areas, open fields, or in this case, on an abandoned military base. there's even a stargate themed paintball field in the uk that has a stargate and a dhd, where people play out scenarios from stargate. i don't play myself, as i don't like to run or even get off the couch when i don't have to, but i do own an airsoft gun that i bought because of my love of stargate. many of the people that do play are military enthusiasts and many also play pc shooters, so it stands to reason that some might be stargate fans and might be interested in sgr, so as i said, i plan to hand out sgr flyers and talk it up as much as i can. you can read about the event here: http://www.blastcamp.com/nightgames and here's a preview video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cUp17Z62Uk there's some pretty cool sounding game types listed on the site, and it will all be synchronized with music and lighting. i can just imagine how cool it would be with stargate themed game types like "get through the gate", "secure the touchstone", "capture the goa'uld", etc... the whole event would be like, stargate resistance: for real. __________________
