Default You're Not In My Field Of View

I couldn't find a thread title on the first 4 pages of 'general discussion' relevant to FOV and I'm sure my question isn't a new one and has probably been addressed previously...

Is altering your Field of View in-game considered exploiting?

I am personally of the opinion that it gives an unfair advantage to those who are unaware of this capability.
There is nothing in the fair play rules as far as I can tell that refers to altering FOV unless you consider it 'exploiting a known bug'

So does increasing FOV give an unfair advantage?
If not, why not?

depend on who u are dude

for me if u use fov 115 or fov 75 dont matter..
b4 the new patch it could go up to fov140 or 150

i did a youtube video of fov 140

i would say its only good to have fov 110-115 on whiteout
if your a ashrak hiding at your own datacore waiting as u can see both stairs and entrance of both sides

but to me mate... if u can change the fov then its ok to use , if not the devs would disable it

No exploiting, as the dev's have limited the fov. They also made it so you can not change the FOV while you are in/scope.
I change mine to 100 on everything. I know its just perception but it feels like the game moves faster.

On widescreen, a fov of 100 is awesome.

The FOV is locked between 75 to 115 to stop an unfair advantage.

On a 22" 16:9 monitor, I use fov 100 and It's beast.

i use 90, binded to f1. i haven't even tried it any higher than that. at standard fov, whatever it is, i feel like my guy takes up too much of the screen, and it feels like i'm walking painfully slow. 90 makes my guy a bit smaller and feels like i'm walking just a bit faster. i'm hoping for a persistant fov setting to be added to the options screen.
