Hey guys and gals,

In the unlikely chance that these forums ever go down because SGR goes down, The System Lords will be adding a non RP section to our forum so that we can continue discussions about the game, stargate, and random stuff in general. Its not up now (as these forums are still up), bookmark it, whatever so that if you try and come here and it doesn't work anymore, you'll be able to find us!

The side... and forum... is as i know the forum of SGW and SGR has only a part of it... so... hu it will go down first when... CME, Firesky and DCG will go down... hmmm

so should we still not worry about the forums??? every time the game went down, the forums did too, so it would seem the forums were on the same server as the game. so will the forums be moved (intact) to someones personal server space? i would gladly volunteer mine to keep the forums alive. i have linux space on a very reputable and reliable host in the usa. i've had it for 7 years, and still will for years to come.

Forums and game servers are on their own unique servers. However, all of such is on the same backbone... thus a single point of failure as the backbone is not multi-homed.

Wether the forums here go down or not everyone over at the System Lords Site will be welcoming to anyone who wants to come join the RP or just hang out. We can create a tavern section if enough people show up even.

makes sense, but i guess i should be worried since there is not a direct answer in there.

You should always be worried and do the opposite of bc, generally speaking

Adding to Nay, yep head over to the System Lords site, somewhere to hang out should this site disappear, which I personally believe inevitable at this stage.

I hope to get a new section added by the end of the week to the site. We also have a nice chat box, so stop by down there and say hi! We already have a lot of familiar faces over there, although they may use different names (I'm Selvans, Naysmithe is Prometheus, Col Redshirt etc).

I'm sure these forums will stay up for the 60 days we have left, but if there are any things you want to save, we can work on copying things over.

I've been doing backups of this forum once per each month. If I get the permission to, I will re-host these forums (posts, topics, users, everything) on my own server. (This is a big IF here, IF the forums do not get moved to another server at CME.)

That is what I am getting at.
