It is a pain that this is happening, but their is not much the dev's can do. The idea of abnormal play no xp would be good, but I have been in many matched where it was legitamatly lopsided (been on losing and winning side) and would hate to see people that work hard not be rewarded for a job well done.

@ SG-t. Klorel - seems like you are trying to stir the pot and pick a fight. Not our fault we had a whole match and ppl bailed before the end to aviod having a lose on their record. (different issue I get mad at)

Yes stats are not everything, but it is the moral ethics that have me agitated. It makes sense that new users want to have the helmet sooner. If that is the case, make it an achievment where the helmet had glowing eye's or something and charge money $2 for new users to get the helmet right away. Or make the helmet harder to get.

yeah i know, ive also been in games where it was legitimately lopsided. But like i said its not a great idea, just a suggestion. Im interested to see if and how the devs approach this problem.

That's a wrong assessment. If others are padding then obviously nova is not the only one who thinks rank is important and I for 1 do think skill is important.

I agree Klorel your wrong, heck i dont even know how you could say that.......did you not read all the post in the thread most of them are people denouncing this type of action. How does that translate into Nova is all alone.

(off topic but why does it seem, to me at least, there are a group of about 5 or so people that love to troll Nova and then yell at him as soon as he says something......food for thought)

In all fairness Nova has been working on his posts and I for one have noticed a difference in quality/percieved harshness. hopefully the trolls will go back to playing sci and camping under and amarna bridge.

I certainly don't see the point in power levelling. It does perhaps explain why I've seen some of the bad tactics I've seen from fairly-reasonably well ranked players recently (what kind of Jaffa stands still and Pew-Pews at the SGC spawn from across Leonops when the SGC team is half Commando? And yet this Dis'Secu did it death, after death, after death and wouldn't listen to my advice to use charged blasts and move back and forth behind the pillars as cover. I would have just shrugged, thought bad player accumulating rank over time anyway and moved on, but this Thread made me think power leveller and regret not taking a note of the name so they could be cleared or dealt with appropriately).

Which is what I (and others) said you were wrong about in this and other threads......sure some people may not "care" about skill/rank as you say but some obviously do and all that Nova and I were pointing out is if your so pathetic that you have to stat pad to make yourself look like you are better than you really are......than your pathetic.....Also i have a great example for you of trying to make yourself appear better than you are....

Recently i was informed (havent seen the proof for myself just so everyone knows...but im sure its out there and if you can provide any proof EITHER WAY i welcome it). I was informed that the SGT clan claims that they (you) not only scored more pts against banana than any other clan including the devs (who scored the most to record 2v2 and lost like 160 to 86) you in sgt also claim that you "were so good" that you actually had a draw with us.......

Now i can prove through forum post etc that when we were supposed to have a clan match none of you showed up for over a week until we finally called it all off.......

AND REALLY its an insult not only to the current but now former clan mates me (of 5th race) and Serthis (in your clan) to say some stupid lie like that....as far as im concerned your insulting one of your own team mates as Serthis is THE ONLY competent player in your clan as far as im concerned.

Sorry but i heard these lies and it got me heated and then you pushed the right buttons to set me overboard..........so onto the next point....

SOOOOOO are you one of these people that did it to make a good rank......b/c i know non of us on ts are that cheap, the only time we "overpower" a map is b/c people rage quit and turn and 8v8 into a 8v4 thinking it wont count against them (some of those people even leave and rejoin to "reset" there score or they pull the winner team joiner to avoid a loss.......Silly Rabbit), which is not our fault that we are good.

Also, although we do play a good deal we do have lives so we aren't on 24/7, did you think/take into consideration this group was the first among many he/we were able to record/ss and report....obviously there are other tards doing the same thing and they need to be dealt with.....Nova was simply pointing out a problem that many of us have noticed.....but just like i said before there is a group of people out there that seem heck bent (#### is blocked oOo) on trolling Nova and those that support him and nothing else.....

Last comments......if you want to prove your as elite as your people claim you can challenge 5th and we will see who wins.....and if you really have some guts, you will back up those "we beat banana claims" and i will temp leave 5th and coordinate with jackson, black, rivalen, and myself obviously and any other current/former banana member and take you on and see who slaughters who....

I can speak for SG-T 'cause my boyfriend (Taurus) is the leader of SG-T and we had a war against banana. But we stopped it, because there were so many noobs *** the match. You can ask Black.. and if he wants that we delete the "Draw"-Match, he can write Taurus or me.. So what is the problem? We never said "WE HAD A DRAW AGAINST BANANA!!!"

We never said anything against Banana and Serthis is in our clan because Black is away and she is my sister.. We just wanted to be in one clan.. The post in the banana-forum was just fun. xD

And we don't think we are the best clan, my clan mates lost against SGMC!! YOU ARE SOO BAD! (I didn't play. )

I can't stalk everyone to see if they are making trouble..

all i want to say about that is, there was a clanfight (sg-t vs banana) and it ended up draw caus non clan member joined all the time and sure, if this guys were not there, banana would have scored that mach.

Well, while there is no use of stats (expect from some ppl using it to show their "greatness" in numbers) there can also be nothing moraly wrong with it. Only those who are affected by it because they rely on those numbers.

If there are 2000 or 2010 beside you, does that realy matter to you?

It's going around what the devs intended that armor to be. Plus I think telling players to leave because they are stat padding is rude in itself.

It is a matter of principles. Would you go to a person who robed your house and say "no problem mate do you want this tv you missed".

Stat padding is all that is wrong with online games that give reward like achievements and items and people like you who say it is ok are worse then the people who commit it.

I'm not saying it is OK in general, im just saying it is not that bad in this case as it is said mister "padding = stealing a TV"...

Show me where they do steal anything. We are talking about a few numbers in a database, god ****. There is no need to scream "cheater!!" or reduce their ethic to that one from a thief.

If they would give money for leveling up the case would be something very different (or make payd content be unlockable), but now? This is telling someone is harming who don't.

even if they get the 100 kills they wont have the rank...
but if they played normaly by the time they have the rank they would of made the 100 kills..

to SGT like i said at the beginning of my rant i hadnt seen any proof and it was just hearsay from a few people. That is also why i apologized afterwards as i was having a bad day and realized some of that slipped in......but i wasnt going to edit and try to hide what i said, said sorry and moved on.

As far as the draw i suppose the people doing the communication took it as tied/scored etc against banana, i know sgt didnt show for the match thats why i was frustrated that "supposedly" you all said you had scored etc. I dont know maybe a better term would have been no one showed up but whatever in the open and in the past now.

Aaron/Nova I gotta agree with you while yes there may be nothing "criminal" about it, its a matter of principles.

Really though why even use the i wanna get the helmet/armor excuse anyway its not like it gives you special powers or anything, heck in my opinion it just makes it easier to hs you with my commando.

What about those people that have it and are still stat padding, like the koth match where the two groups were taking turns racking up the points to max.......with the exception of getting to what is it lvl 6 for the armor? There is no other reason to do it besides trying to get a higher rank so you look like you have put in the time/effort to achieve that rank when instead your still a newbie at heart.
