life after SGR

Hey all it has been great playing with you all, and i will miss it all. After the end i will be mainly playing Call Of Duty Black Ops, and wanted to start a clan there, so if any 5th members want to i would love to continue the 5th clan there. or start a new clan like the SGR Refugees, so anyone that wants to, let me know, and we can get it started. so other than that, i will see you ingame.

Seems a lot of ppl are moving to Global Agenda too, http://store.steampowered.com/app/17020 it looks alright. I guess ppl are playing it cause it looks a little like SGW in some ways and its a TPS (Third Person Shooter) So if you like me and you can't stand First person shooters its an option.

It only costs a little bit more than SGR as well at £19.00 / $35.00USD << (cant say if the USD amount is true, I just used the conversion to get a guestimate)

really though, i despise first person shooters, i much prefer third person. i bought hl2dm because, aside from tls, theres also some pretty nice stargate maps, but its not as fun as i would like, and the fps play drives me nutz. i want to play another game that plays like sgr, but i also want to play something that other sgr folks play. global agenda looks interesting, but perhaps a little too cartoonish for my taste, and it's kind of expensive. one game that seems pretty appealing to me is lead and gold. it's cheap, it plays similar to sgr, but... it's a western. i want something that is simple like sgr, but maybe in a modern military setting. my search continues...

It is $ 30 USD, but was previously on sale for $ 7.50 and $ 15 USD.

Yeah, I had a little 3 day stint with Minecraft months ago.

I kinda forgot that I was alive and neglected everything in my life, staring at the screen for 36 hours with a growing beard, bloodshot eyes, malnutrition and 300+ missed calls is not a good way to live ...Minecraft is Crack, Speed and Heroine all in the same shot... STAY AWAY FROM IT, SERIOUSLY!!!

I'm back to MMO land, got into a few closed betas this fall and have been testing with a surprising DCUO being the most enjoyable thus far. I will probably play it at launch. Rifts while fun just isn't a full time fit for me. The rift events are a nice bit of random element I just think the frequency is far too high. The other is still closed beta so I cannot comment.

I seriously don't know what to do when the end comes, I'm stuck in a desert, trying to work out where to go. I have games on pre-order, duke, deusex etc. I am basically lost

I don't mind an FPS, but like u I am on the hunt for a modern military no-huge-cartoony-raging-robot-monsters-withoversized-guns-and-cartoony-laser-weapons-that-are-worse-than-modern-weapons-cliche-or-fantasy-magical-mixup-cliche MMO. I bought GA mainly because there are many SGR players there already. Also, it is $30 US, and I got it on sale at $15, and some got at $8. So if you want it, keep an eye out. Also, some ppl here on the forums might have coupons for %50 off. Thats one of the reasons I'm skeptical of GA, I'm not too keen on the OTT futuristic cheezyness...

A futuristc but not over the top game would be perfect, somthing like the first Mass Effect.

There just really is no other game on the market that can fill my tps void.....

I'm thinking about trying DCUO though, seems interesting.

I've been playing GTA IV&EFLC since before chrimbo, the main story can get boring at times but the online content can be fun if there are enough ppl online, theres only one map but its a pretty big map with many interiors, and I picked it up for the same price as SGR.

Its a TPS.

rift is supposed to be comming out in a month or 2, but it seems like its modeled a lot after DAOC

wow just isnt holding my interest anymore. i liked massive raids and now its all about pugging high end content which speaks volumes about it.

aion just wasnt that interesting to me

One of the main things you'll be missing in any game is the SGR community. If you ever wanna have the treat of tubing @ realzies again. For example, I was told that in GA one almost never sees (plays with or against) the same person twice, in other words meaning that you don't make friends or enemies, unless you are part of an agency, or make know someone previously. Each PvP is pretty much random people selected out of a queue, and as soon as it is over, you'll never see those people again. However, since there are many SGR ppl in GA, we can stay together with an Agency or two. PJumperz is the SJ clan's continuation into GA. Being that they want to be selective, I would like to see another non-selective agency for any and all SGR players; I'm thinking to use the name Asguard Fleet, as it is a good legacy SGR clan that probably had the most players pass through it, was not selective and was respected for that. As for a selective clan, perhaps later when SGR players actually know how to own. The name NID is took already though lol. Maybe use The Trust.

actually hellgate london is supposed to be released 2011 or 2012 under the name hellgate ressurection and will include all the patches and updates the koreans have and maybe more.

I might go back to hellgate london after the launch, but it was very repetitious.

I am torn at the moment. I would however love to get a group together to play borderlands.
